Who Are the CB Plus Primary Care Group?

The CB Plus Primary Care Group (PCG) is a dedicated team of volunteers working to enhance primary care services across Barnet. The group collaborates closely with North Central London Integrated Care Board, Barnet Federated GPs, and local practices to improve patient access and experience.

What the PCG Has Accomplished

Since its inception, the PCG has made a significant impact on local healthcare. For example, by focusing on practical solutions, they’ve successfully launched initiatives that have enhanced patient care in Barnet.

Key achievements include:

  • Conducting a comprehensive assessment of GP out-of-hours messages for accessibility and clarity.

  • Creating a patient information sheet for remote consultations.

  • Analysing patient feedback from GP surveys to streamline appointment booking processes.

  • Reviewing 52 GP websites for consistent information on extended access services.

  • Partnering with NHS 111 to improve communications outside of regular hours.

Empowering Patients with Our New Patient Information Sheet

The group recently launched the Patient Information Sheet, one of their most significant successes. Designed to help patients access care when their GP is closed, it provides a clear guide on where to seek treatment for non-emergency issues.

With user-friendly language and easy-to-follow instructions, the sheet ensures patients of all ages and backgrounds can navigate their healthcare journey with confidence. In addition, it provides clear guidance for seeking appropriate care when GP services are unavailable
