What is it?

The Thrive and Rise project supports young people from Black, Asian, and minority backgrounds aged 17.5 to 25 who are at risk of youth offending, involvement in the criminal justice system, or displaying antisocial behaviour. We offer low-intensity, CBT-based talking therapy to help them understand how these challenges impact their wellbeing and develop coping skills.

This initiative offers:

  • Low Intensity Talking Therapies:

    1. Low intensity evidence-based talking therapy services for young people discharged from CAMHS who need ongoing community-based therapeutic support.
    1. Anyone who does not meet the criteria for adult mental health services.
  • Specialist Mental Health Support: Focused on young people from Black, Asian, and minority backgrounds faced with poor mental health, behavioural concerns, educational exclusion, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

  • Group sessions (in person or online): Targeted at young people experiencing low mood and anxiety, offering accessible mental health education and support.

Our goal is to support young adults with the education, tools and guidance to empower and help them to thrive.
