We understand. The journey of pregnancy and new parenthood is a whirlwind of emotions.

It’s hard not to compare ourselves to those who seem to have it all together, sharing picture-perfect pregnancies or idyllic newborn moments.

You might find yourself wondering why you don’t feel the same way or why you’re experiencing feelings of sadness or anxiety.

But we want you to know it’s okay to feel this way and that you’re not alone.

The reality is that what we observe in others, whether online or in real life, isn’t always a true reflection of reality. Around one in four women/birthing people experience mental health issues during pregnancy and in the 24 months after giving birth.

We get it. Taking that first step to seek help can feel daunting. But guess what?

That’s exactly why we’ve launched the Bump, Baby, and You project in collaboration with Central and North West London Perinatal Mental Health Services to make that initial leap a little less intimidating.

Our friendly team is here to explain the referral process and answer any questions you have about Perinatal Mental Health services in Brent and Harrow. And if you need a little extra support, one of our team can join you virtually at your first appointment.

Feel ready to make the first step?

Still unsure? Let’s walk you through the process.

  • Once you’re ready, fill out the short referral form here. It won’t take more than 2 minutes to complete.
  • You’ll then be contacted by our team within 5 working days.
  • During this call, we will explain what the Perinatal Mental Health services offer:

    • we’ll answer any questions you may have
    • discuss your availability and agree on a convenient time for you to attend your first appointment virtually (phone or online) with the Perinatal Mental Health team.
  • Next, you will receive confirmation of your appointment.

  • You will receive your appointment reminder the day before your appointment.
